Gethsemane

Oh Gethsemane. Has there ever been a bigger smile? I know I say it all the time, but you really are pure joy. You are my plum pudding, my rainbow baby, my sweet Gethsemane. You are so easy, so good, so sweet, so thoughtful, so precious. You want to be just like me and tell me you love me throughout the day.

You love our bedtime ritual of "Giving Dreams." After we pray together with you on my lap, you shut your eyes so tight with your crunched up smile, and I kiss each eye with a different thing to dream of (angels, baking scones with Mommy, cake pops, dancing, going camping, butterflies,etc) and then I kiss each of your hands with another dream to hold onto if you wake up in the middle of the night. Then I tuck you in, and with each blanket I tuck over you, I tell you I love you in a different way ( "I love you to the moon and back," "I love you from the inside out," "I love you all day long," etc) You love to do this with all your "babies" (hedgehogs, dolls, my little pet shop toys, stuffed animals). You are always kissing their eyes telling them to dream of Mommy and horses, and then you put blankets on them telling them you love them to the moon with each blanket.

You are always telling me that I want to kiss one of your babies, as you hold it up to me to kiss. You have just recently become a little chatterbox, and I am loving talking with you all day. I love how when I ask you if you want more food, you say "YES," and give the biggest, most exaggerated nod of your head ever. You are so polite, thanking me for everything, and everytime I give you a compliment, you say, "You welcome Mommy," even if I didn't say thank you directly. I could go on and on about you, but right now you "wanna cuddle wif you, Mommy," and there is nothing more I want to do too. I love you, my sweet two year old.
